CAN TOO! Club Children and the Young Chefs Academy Cook up a Storm

On Wednesday, May 12th the Chefs from the Young Chefs Academy visited Lighthouse and taught our CAN TOO children how to properly wash, clean, cut, and dice vegetables to create homemade minestrone soup. The young chefs also taught the children how to roll and season dough to create homemade bread sticks. They then served Lighthouse’s Puttin’ on the Ritz gala planning committee a delightful afternoon treat. The soup and bread sticks were very delicious and fun was had by all!

Thank you to the Young Chefs Academy for taking the time to visit Lighthouse and teach the children of our CAN TOO! program that cooking can be fun.
Watch for the Young Chefs Academy birthday party donation certificate at the Puttin’ on the Ritz silent auction to place your bid!
